ZhangJiaJie National Forest Park

9 Jun

You know avatar, right? James Cameron (director of Avatar) was inspired by the mountains in Zhangjiajie, and decided to give these mountains a few seconds of fame in his blockbuster movie. Remember the scene where those blue humans where riding their animals around the forest/mountains and connected their hair to the animals to make a bond? That scene was filmed in zhangjiajie!

One of the stones was even renamed from “South Pillar of Heaven” to “Avatar Hallejuah Mountain” after Avatar. I don’t think I snapped a picture of the Hallelujah Mountain  because all of the stones look the same to me.

I didn’t manage to get a good shot of it due to the foggy weather. Here are the stones!

During my trip, it was raining 70% of the time. Bad times. If you ever plan to go there during summer, don’t forget your raincoats and umbrellas and waterproof shoes!
